DESIGNER • ADVENTURER • LAUGHTER-ENTHUSIEST

Hi there — my name is Jamee Strickland (formerly Curran) and I'm a product designer currently living in Denver, CO. I grew up only a couple blocks from the beach in California, so when picking a college, I knew the ocean needed to be nearby. This led me to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design. From there, I ventured a little further up the coast, designing my way through SF. I now find myself in the mountains taking advantage of the different adventures each season has to offer!  

I've been surrounded by design since I was young, with every member of my family working in either advertising or graphic design. So needless to say, design has played a huge role in my life. I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative work environments and am always eager to learn from the people and world around me. Over the years, I've discovered that the best design and conceptual solutions come from collaboration, thoughtful research, and an attention to detail.

On top of tackling design problems on the daily, I’ve recently taken on the role of mom, a job that has quickly become my favorite thus far. Becoming a parent, especially during a global pandemic, put a lot of things into perspective for me, and I choose to live my life with my family at the core of everything I do. They inspire most of my work and are what remind me daily to lead with kindness, patience, and a whole lot of good snacks on hand. 

I'm inspired by a life of adventure and have been known to push the limit — whether it's backpacking in New Zealand, skydiving, skiing the mountains of Colorado, taking my family on a 2 month road trip in our van, or competing (and winning!) Red Bull Flugtag — I always seem to find a way to get out and enjoy the world around me. I'm constantly looking for the next best hiking spot, so if you have any tips or want to chat about design, let's grab a coffee!
