PRODUCT DESIGN * UI/UX DESIGN • USER TESTING 

I was part of the team that brought Podcasts to Pandora, introducing a whole new source of content for our users. I helped see this project from beginning to end, starting with competitive analysis and brainstorming on how Pandora can standout in the world of Podcasts. This led us to what we now call the Podcast Genome Project. Similar to Pandora’s Music Genome Project, Pandora learns a user’s preference and recommends based on a variety of attributes and with the help of our in house curation team, helps users discover new content all the time based on what they like, something many other competitors lack in their experience and a space we knew we could excel at.

Our design process was filled with many rounds of user testing to find out what users want out of a podcast product and later down the line to learn if what we had designed was going in the correct direction. This ultimately led us to our final product and one that continues to grow as more people start using it!
